Abstract


INVESTIGATION OF SCIENCE TEACHERS'ACTIVE LEARNING AND THEIR OPINIONS FOR THE TEACHER-STUDENT ROLES AND CLASS ENVIRONMENT

The aim of this study is to determine the teacher-student roles and the views of teachers about the classroom environment in the application of science teachers. In the study, phenomenology pattern, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study was carried out with seven Science teachers working in different provinces, determined according to the purposeful sampling method (determined to apply active learning) in the academic year of 2016-2017. In the research, the semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool by conducting validity and reliability studies. In the analysis of research data, embedded theory method, which is one of the content analysis method types, was used. In the research, the responsibilities of the teacher in practicing active learning, the responsibilities of the students in practicing active learning, and the features that should be in the active learning class are tried to be revealed.
