Abstract


ANALYSIS OF SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION IN TURKEY'S PROGRESS COVID 19 PANDEMIC (MARCH-JUNE 2020)

With the year 2020, a virus epidemic started that will affect the whole world. A virus type that emerged in Wuhan, China in late 2019 has turned into a pandemic that will affect the world in a very short time. Coronavirus, a type of virus that spreads to many countries such as SARS and MERS, has been transformed into a new type of virus by mutation. The new type of coronavirus, called Covid 19 by the World Health Organization (WHO), has been extensively researched by all fields of science, especially the medical science. Naturally it took place among the countries affected by this pandemic outbreaks in Turkey. In the study where virus outbreaks in Turkey, at what level, why and how it was aimed to reveal that develops spread. Each region or province in Turkey, was not affected by the Covidien-19 at the same level outbreaks. The reasons for this difference will be revealed through geographical approaches. In the literature researches, academic studies addressing the mentioned topics were not found. This will contribute to the originality of the research. Mainly issued by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health and World Health Organization official with the shared data is used. In addition, information and data shared on the internet by various written and visual media institutions were also applied. The collected data were transferred to digital media with the help of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Spatial distribution of virus outbreak in Turkey using GIS methods are disclosed. Various analysis methods in Geographic Information Systems and Ministry of Health statistics related to the population were associated and the results were analyzed. The analysis of the results in Turkey showed close pretty fast spreading virus outbreaks worldwide. Social and economic life in contemporary Turkey and the world, will continue its decisive nature from every angle, it is argued by many social scientists. This study continues the process of the pandemic, in case of emergency in Turkey is expected to contribute to spatial planning.
