Populism, which is characterized by a gravitation towards the public, has begun to spread rapidly around the world. The populist approach, which settled in the plane of politics in Turkey particularly after 1950, has affected the political parties and leaders that emerged after that period. The all-encompassing voice of populism has found a place in politics very quickly. Ideological parties and leaders were unable to establish influence against the all-inclusive comprehensiveness of populism. Compared to ideological discourses, populism has established itself and spread its discourses very rapidly. Although populist propaganda stands out in the political life of Turkey, there are also leaders with ideological discourses. In the present study, Adnan Menderes, who is regarded as the pioneer of populism in the political life of Turkey, and Aydın Menderes, who adopted ideological discourses in the political life and stood out with his intellectual background, will be compared in terms of their discourses.
