Abstract


EXAMINATION OF ADOLESCENTS' INTERNET ADDICTION LEVELS ACCORDING TO VARIOUS DEMOGRAPHIC VARIABLES
The aim of this research is to examine adolescents' internet addiction levels according to gender, class level, parental alive or dead status, parental cohesion status and parental learning status variables. The study group consists of 365 students who continue their education in secondary education institutions in Isparta. Personal Information Form and Young Internet Addiction Test Short Form were used as a data collection tool in the study. In analyzing the data, independent groups t-test and one-way variance analysis and Tukey test were used to test the source of differences to determine whether participants differed according to their demographic characteristics. According to the findings, the levels of internet addiction of adolescents vary significantly depending on gender, class level, parent cohabitation status, and condition of the father being alive. The state of education of the parents depending on the condition of the mother being alive does not differ significantly.
